Dear Reader,

Welcome to Issue Thirty-Eight of The Collagist.

In this issue, we have new fiction from Monica Drake, Yanara Friedland, and Sarah Ameigh, as well as Simon Frueland's "Man on the Bus," translated by K.E. Semmel. This month's novel excerpt comes from Courtney Elizabeth Mauk's Spark, out this month from Engine Books.

In poetry, we have new work by Keith Montesano, Iris A. Law, Jonterri Gadson, and Allison Leigh. Our non-fiction this month includes two essays from returning contributor B.J. Hollars, "The Megatherium Club" and "Leningrad."

Our book reviews this month include coverage of Light Without Heat by Matthew Kirkpatrick (reviewed by Joe Aguilar, Echolocation by Myfanwy Collins (reviewed by Jason Cook), Watch the Doors as They Close by Karen Lillis (reviewed by Lacey N. Dunham), Black Peculiar by Khadijah Queen (reviewed by Prathna Lor), and Call the Catastrophists by Krystal Languell) reviewed by Jeanine Deibel.

As always, thanks to all of the above contributors for being a part of this issue, and thanks to you and all the rest of our readers for visiting us this month.
